they may had married a non believer and the marriage should have never happened anyway but the rules are the same .but if the first spose wants reconciliation and is open to it well they are still married in gods eyes if they were married in the lord..so i feel if they were both christians in the first marriage they either must remain single or reconcile .man made this mess and its up to us to obey his word not make excuses to let you know my heart we live in a fallen world and when christians behave as christians the non belivers out there will see us acting as christians and will wantr that life style and turn to christ..yet we and im guilty too, want what the world has to offer and act as the world says so many times and become hypocriticl in our own actions so we cant reach the lost because we are also lost at times, yet we can repent but so many times we twist the word and make excuses so we can justify our actions one man for one woman till death due us part..a man is to love his wife like christ loved the church[so no abuse should happen] the woman is to also do the same towards her husband . it was adam and eve not adam and eve and john and sarah and on and on look at eve if god had allowed divorce he would have allowed it then but he banished them both and they styaed together, yet God could have made another woman right then and there..he didnt he said no matter what ..till death .like jesus said in the beiginnng same sex marriage isnt godly and we all know that yet liberals or non belivers have the agenda to destroy what god created..dont be decieved..satn is the prince of the air and gos around looking ro devour and destroy as christians we can stand for God yes, but we alone cant change it or legislate it in the world .we must be the hands and feet and do as christ said do..give them truth and if they listen great, if not wipe our feet of them in love and if we do maybe that tough love will prick there hearts..this goes even for those remarried when their spouse is alive ..we cant accept that either, no way! yet the church is full of those marriages yet church discipline isnt being done today..why..the church doesnt want to offend anyone and ddoesnt want to lose members and money! thats the true sad part!it all comes down to money and not offend someone..gays,remarried outside of gods word,fornicators,iars,murder,etc .repentance is the key and trusting God not ourselves..people say God wants us happy..yet our joy should be in him not ourselves..christ said take up our cross and follow him my message isnt one most want to follow but its truth no twisting of his word..personally i dont like it either as my wife.disobedient as she is divorced me while having an affair , married another half her age which he was divorced 3 times before, and is committing adultry now against me and our chilodren and against God that is clear..yet they joined a church and even teach children..i myself have followed what i say..living single and can not marry till death i refuse to fall away, yes ive stumbled! but repented i dont like it but i will obey some call me holding on..well yes i am..holding on to the cloak of christ and folowng him..lonely heck yeah..broken yes, defeated NO! his glory will be shown i know do i have female friends yes i do, i date some but its dinner and a movie etc..then home alone .most women repsect that conviction but move on if they cant get it..as they want the sex that comes with a relationship..marriage or not very few would even wait even if i thought i could remarry now would they like i said ive stumbled some too, but i have repented and know when i do i die of self and feel the presence of God flowing over me he will sustain me and my prayer is not to sin in that area ever again..and i love intimacy too..but only with my wife..maybe God will take her life, i wont i assure you, maybe he wont, maybe she never repents but my prayer is she will but i dont have to ever take her back under my roof but then again i must forgive her and wait and be aptient and follow christ! no matter what..in closing legislating marriage and divorce im all for, but remariage needs to be addressed too..there the real sin begins as someone has decided to live in unrepented adultry thats the reason God detest divorce the most..the sin tht caused the divorce and the souls lost in sin after satan knows how to deceive..and let me ask you this, if you were being deceived and knew it you woulodnt allow the deception would you? but the church has nade concessions not consistant with the word divorce wasnt an issue 70 years ago as it is today its hard to find anyone still married for 50 years the 50;s and 60;s era has changed all that..yet we teach our children its ok..no wonder children every where are having babies outside or wedlock they see marriage as a maybe it will make it, divorce is always an option etc can we change things..yes one family at a time..one person at a time and believers true believers will follow hen given the truth! but then again the road is narrow isnt it, so many will say i healed in your name and jesus says get away from me i never knew you! repentance is the answer, he apid the price, what do we have to do? accept it and follow his teachings..not mans..God hates mans ways does he not luke warm..he spits from his mouth.im not condeming anyone nor judging just speaking the truth i ask everyone to seek the truth..argue with me is fine, i can handle that, no problem argue with the word and theres is only one way, one truth ..i have a great and wonderful God and his justice and wrath will come..but his salvation is available for us all but we must follow and repent and change our ways..the world..we are to be the light..have you seen it in divorce anywhere? cant happen may you all who read this know i speak in his love and thise who have ears listen check his word for yourselves you dont ever need to trust mans word on the issues we discuss in this forum..
